The Nether Project is a small-scale, low-tech organic nursery and food forest located in south west Scotland.

Our mission is to grow high-quality native trees and permaculture plants to enhance resilience, diversity, and abundance in the landscape, and to demonstrate the potential of food forest gardens as beautiful, bountiful and sustainable systems.

Permaculture plants

From edible perennials and companion plants to soil builders and pollinator attractors, our organic nursery offers a variety of healthy plants for creating a thriving, regenerative ecosystems.

Food forest

Here, we're exploring the future of sustainable food production through the creation of a diverse, self-sustaining ecosystem. Our garden is designed to mimic a natural open forest, integrating fruit and nut trees, shrubs, herbs, and ground cover plants that work in harmony to regenerate the land.

Native trees

Specializing in cultivating local provenance native tree species, we are committed to enhancing local ecosystems and supporting biodiversity.

Whether your project is big or small, our trees can add to the conservation value of your project.
